A two-year-old girl in the Philippines suffered severe burns after gasoline ignited on a motorcycle, prompting her family to seek financial assistance for her medical needs.

A tragic incident occurred on January 2, 2025, in Monkayo, Davao de Oro, when a 2-year-old girl, Shynnieah Paraiso, caught fire and suffered second-degree burns. Her father, Bryan Paraiso, explained that the family had returned from celebrating Christmas and New Year's in Davao Oriental and were tending to their farm and pets. The accident happened when the cover of his motorcycle's gasoline tank detached, spilling gasoline onto Shynnieah.

With the accelerator engaged, the gasoline ignited, setting her ablaze. On January 8, 2025, Shynnieah underwent surgery, with doctors recommending the amputation of her right arm and leg to save her life. Bryan shared that the damage was severe and amputation was necessary to prevent the spread of infection. The family reached out for financial assistance for Shynnieah's basic needs, including milk and diapers. Their post received an overwhelming response from the community, with ₱42,709.70 being raised through online platforms. Bryan expressed his deep gratitude for the support, stating that it was a huge help for both his daughter and the entire family
