“We are putting together a couple of videos, taking pictures, getting behind the scenes of everything, making sure to shout out the people making all of this happen,” said Maya Duhamel, a Grade 11 media member. Doing interviews is Rowan Boone’s favourite part of being on the team, though others will point out his excellent camera work.“It is an interest I had for a while to do that kind of thing. And Coal Bowl is really fun.”
“My passion is to take pictures and videos ever since I was a little kid,” said the Grade 7 student when asked why he joined the team. Are careers in media in the future for these media students? Maybe not, but the experiences they are gaining in the role can be helpful to many future choices.
