The gender pay gap has dropped to the lowest level on record at 13.3 per cent across Australia, but the nation's workplace equality advocate insists there is more work to do. The previous gender pay gap was 14.1 per cent in 2022. READ MORE: 9News

But WGEA says there is still work to do to improve the gap.

"For every dollar on average men earned, women earned 87 cents. That's $253.50 less than men each week.There are two indicators of Australia's national gender pay gap including the Australian Bureau of Statistics data and the other calculated by the WGEA using data from the company's employer census and ABS data.
