minggu lalu, HOA yang baru ditandangani ini adalah untuk mengukuhkan fasa seterusnya kerjasama kedua-dua pihak bagi pembangunan hab kenderaan generasi seterusnya itu.

“Fokus HOA ini ialah pembangunan bandar automotif bersepadu yang akan melahirkan hab bagi industri kenderaan tenaga baharu. AHTV akan merangkumi kawasan seluas kira-kira 1,000 ekar dan akan diperluaskan dengan sewajarnya untuk memenuhi keperluan masa hadapan,” kata DRB-Hicom dalam kenyataan tersebut.menyatakan bahawa MoU yang ditandatangani pada April lalu akan luput dalam masa enam-bulan sekiranya tiada perjanjian muktamad ditandatangani selepas itu.

“Dalam tempoh 10 tahun akan datang, AHTV dijangka menarik pelaburan bernilai kira-kira RM32 bilion, termasuk oleh jenama automotif nasional Proton . AHTV juga akan menerima faedah langsung dan tidak langsung daripada rancangan Proton untuk memindahkan sepenuhnya kemudahan pembuatannya ke Tanjong Malim menjelang 2026. Proton kini mengeluarkan lima model dalam AHTV dan dua lagi model di Shah Alam, Selangor.
