Malacañang said families from areas under the general community quarantine (GCQ) would benefit from the second tranche of the social amelioration program (SAP) once the government is able to find a source for additional funds.
Presidential spokesman Harry Roque made the statement as the new quarantine zones in the country take effect, placing all but 10 high-risk areas in the country under the general community quarantine.
“Ang nasa puso niya, gusto niyang bigyan ang lahat, titingnan po natin kung kakayanin, kung makakahanap po tayo ng mga resources of revenue ,” he said.On Thursday evening, President Duterte ordered Budget Secretary Wendel Avisado to “circumcise” the budgets of each line department to see if there funds that could be used for the second tranche of the emergency subsidy program.
“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s vow that no one goes hungry amid the current global health crisis remains firm and unchanged,” Roque said.
