will next face either Italy or the Czech Republic in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan advanced to the semifinals with a 2-1 win over Germany, who were without injured world No. 2 Alexander Zverev. Zverev withdrew at the last minute due to a biceps injury. Elena Rybakina beat Laura Siegemund 6-3, 6-1 for Kazakhstan, and Alexander Shevchenko defeated Daniel Masur 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-2 to secure the victory for Kazakhstan.
