Early Thursday, most gas stations in Metro Vancouver were still showing prices in the 217 cents range, while prices for diesel hovered between 230 to 238 cents per litre. A decrease in gas prices comes after the fuel prices in Metro Vancouver topped $2.42 per litre on Oct. 7. Analysts had said the soaring gas prices were due to tight supply, high demand, and a once-in-five-years shutdown of a Washington State refinery and other refinery outages in California.
