The deadline for bids on the NHL franchise is next Monday.
It’s a surprising turn of events, but not totally unexpected because there have been several twists in this story since the club went up for sale in November.
Some were surprised when Postmedia first reported in February that Reynolds had teamed up with the Remington bid, sources told us Bratty’s vision for the Senators aligned with what Reynolds wanted to achieve by becoming involved in this process. It’s believed the Remington Group made the ask during a meeting with the bank sometime in the last couple of weeks.
