KUALA LUMPUR: A suspect implicated in the gang-rape of a 27-year-old woman in Wangsa Maju has been arrested.
It is also learnt that the man in question is the brother-in-law of the victim, with the police still in the midst of tracking down the remaining four suspects.
Bukit Aman Sexual, Women and Child Investigations Division assistant director Asst Comm Siti Kamsiah Hassan confirmed the arrest when contacted. Previously, Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Ashari Abu Samah said that the victim, a local woman, had filed a report on Aug 30 stating that she had been raped by five men at a house in Wangsa Maju.
