Just days after a scandal erupted around a doctored picture of Catherine, Princess of Wales and her children, controversy has broken out around another photo. On Monday, Kate issued a statement apologising for a digitally manipulated photo shared to the Wales’ official Instagram account for Mother’s Day in the UK.
The Princess and the PR disaster. The image had been rejected for use by numerous photo agencies, including Getty and AAP. Hours after issuing the apology, Kate and her husband William, the Prince of Wales, were pictured in the back seat of a Range Rover leaving Windsor Castle. The image was likely released partially to quell rumours that Kate was seriously ill after undergoing abdominal surgery on January 16.
