PETALING JAYA: Goal machine Ifedayo Olusegun is footloose and fancy-free.

The 31-year-old forward, who scored 87 goals in 104 matches in all Malaysian League competitions, revealed that he is now a free agent and wants to continue his career in Malaysia.

“My time with Melaka was one to forget. The players were not paid their wages for months which greatly affected our performance,” said Olusegun, who had played for Selangor and Felda United.“I decided to stay in Nigeria and be with my family. “After the bad experience with Melaka, I’m only considering clubs who are financially stable where one can fully focus on the game and not think when the next pay day will be.”

His finishing is one of the best in the country which saw him bag the Super League Golden Boot award twice in a row when he played for Selangor.
