Police allege the fire was deliberately lit, but believe the two occupants of the home were targeted in a"case of mistaken identity".Further investigations indicate the fire was linked to another allegedly deliberately lit blaze three days earlier at a barber shop on The Horsley Drive in Wetherill Park.

After extensive inquiries and a public appeal for information, detectives executed search warrants in the suburbs of Chester Hill, Rhodes and Rydalmere about 6.10am on Wednesday.Multiple officers could be seen walking down a suburban street before entering what appeared to be a brick unit complex.
