PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. — A large police presence remains at a home in the northwest British Columbia city of Prince Rupert where four people were found dead.

Prince Rupert Mayor Herb Pond and North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice said residents in the city of about 12,000 people are in shock over the deaths. The mayor said the deaths occurred in a suburban area of Prince Rupert known as a family neighbourhood, with larger, upscale homes.
