4 children have been injured in a crash at a central coast caravan park. The crash happened at a holiday park at Toowoon Bay. The mini-cooper smashed through the side of the van. All four children have been taken to hospital. ToowoonBay 7NEWS

Emergency services were called to Toowoon Bay Holiday Park over reports of a single-vehicle crash at about 11.35am Saturday.

Police officers who arrived at the scene were told a Mini Cooper, driven by a 76-year-old woman, had driven into the verandah of a caravan at the holiday park.The driver is assisting police with their inquiries. A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said a nine-year-old boy had been flown via the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition with leg and possible pelvic injuries.

A second boy was taken to the same hospital in a stable condition, while two young girls were taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition. “Officers have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the cause of the crash,” NSW Police said in a statement.
