Toronto police want to make the public aware of a sexual assault investigation involving a former teacher and coach.

The man taught and coached two teen girls at Bond Academy Private School between January 2012 and June 2020 and is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting them.Royal Carney, 50, of Toronto was arrested Thursday and is charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference. Police say Carney was employed at Bond Academy since September 2006 and investigators believe there may be more victims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7474, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS , or atA sexual assault is any form of unwanted sexual contact. It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
