It’s an adaptation of a song she wrote in 2017

Former Sudburian Cheryl Cerri has released a children’s book called "O Canada My Home Is Where I'm Free.”

The book is filled with fun facts about Canada, and also features a Canadian song at the end of the book written by Cerri that readers can download. Cerri wrote the book as an adaptation of her song “O Canada My Home Is Where I'm Free,” which she penned in 2017, in honour of Canada’s 150th birthday celebration.

“Kids can join fun characters Sally and Simon as they present this book with 12 other Canadian friends, a Canadian beaver, a bird and a cute little dog as they tell you about their beautiful country of Canada and join in unity and wave the Canadian flag,” said a press release. “Halfway through the book, after kids have learned about the great Canadian facts, the Canadian friends all break into song and sing this new Canadian song together.”
