Mr Seah had started as chief operating officer at FairPrice Group in 2001, and became chief executive officer of NTUC FairPrice in 2016. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the then-FairPrice chief urged Singaporeans to only buy what they need, without hoarding, as there was enough stock in the inventory.
