For starters, Jaekyung debuted as a member of Rainbow in 2009. While the group enjoyed immense success in the K-pop scene, the group members went their separate ways in 2016. The former idol has since gone on to pursue a solo career, appearing on several entertainment projects. In addition, the 32-year-old was also known for her sexy physic.
While Jaekyung has been in the industry for over a decade, many netizens pointed out how her career could have been different if she had debuted in today’s K-pop landscape. The netizen who uploaded the original post argued, “Seriously, she should’ve debuted in a fourth-generation girl group. She was ahead of her time. If she was an idol from this generation, she would’ve been on the same list alongside Jang Wonyoung, Karina and Sullyoon.”
