But Chatha was gracious in his statement, saying it was a “transition away from my role on the board” that would allow him to “shift my focus to better support my family and grow my business.” At the Jan. 27 Peel police board meeting, the well-regarded provincial appointee was re-elected by board members as chair of the civilian oversight panel.
