Crown and duty counsel jointly recommended that accused be prohibited from driving for five years

For the second time in two days a local resident lost their driver's licence, and the judge noted both were employed at the same mine north of the city.

At the time, the 47-year-old was a prohibited driver and on a Januay 2021 probation order not to be in the driver's seat of a vehicle, assistant Crown attorney Adrianna Mucciarelli said. The court heard the accused has a record for similar offences, including impaired driving and three counts of operating a vehicle while prohibited.
