PORT DICKSON: A 40-year-old food truck operator was charged at the Magistrate's Court here with the murder of a 38-year-old man.
No plea was recorded from Sin Poo Kiong after the charge was read to him before magistrate V. Vanita.
The accused was charged with causing the death of Cheok Teck Meng between 7.30pm and 7.55pm on March 1 this year.Sin was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Vanita then fixed May 19 for next mention and ordered the accused to be remanded at the Temiang prison.On March 1, police personnel received a call at around 7.35pm stating that a man had been stabbed outside the food court.A medical team from the Lukut health clinic arrived shortly after and declared the victim dead.
