Redblacks GM Shawn Burke offered nothing but kind words for outgoing head coach Paul LaPolice Monday, but felt a change was necessary.

“He’s an outstanding person, a good football coach,” Burke said. “We were just privileged to work with him and he handled the news with the class and dignity you would expect. I know he will bounce back in this league.”LaPolice was brought in to replace original Redblacks coach Rick Campbell in December 2019, by former general manager Marcel Desjardins.
