Floods strike Kuala Lumpur following heavy rainfall (Video Inside)

Google on Monday announced plans to purchase nuclear power to operate data centres in the age of power-hungry artificial intelligence (AI), following in the footsteps of Microsoft.

PETALING JAYA: Several Kuala Lumpur locations are experiencing flooding due to heavy rains earlier in the day.

Kuala Lumpur advisory board member Andre Lai said the floodwater appears to be originating from Bukit Dinding, which borders the affected neighbourhood. It has also been reported that several roads en route to Parliament are submerged. Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul has called for Parliament proceedings to be temporarily halted due to MPs being trapped by the flooding.Some blame the flooding on poor maintenance of the SMART Tunnel, a federal project designed to reduce flooding in Kuala Lumpur's city centre.
