JOHOR BARU: The last temporary relief centre for flood victims in Johor has closed in Segamat district at 2pm on Friday (Feb 10).
The state disaster management committee said in a statement that all the victims there, from Kampung Seberang Batu Badak, have returned home.
“Twenty-two victims from seven families were temporarily housed at the Balairaya Kampung Seberang Batu Badak centre when their village was flooded," the committee. However, it noted that the water level at Sungai Batu Pahat in Bekok, Batu Pahat had already exceeded the danger level of 18.7m slightly and was now at 18.72m.
The statement also added that Jalan Sungai Tiram-Ulu Tebrau in Kulai was still closed to all vehicles following landslides along the stretch.
