By 11:30 a.m., all that remained at the scene was a Durham Regional Police officer and a ServiceMaster technician. “We got a call early in the morning, and apparently we don’t know what the cause of it is right now,” said Bramaueur. “No injuries, that is the main thing.” “I’m very conscientious about the house. I have five smoke detectors in there. I did everything I could have done to prevent anything like that.”
