The five-foot-10, 190-pound Foston played parts of two seasons with the Yarmouth Mariners. He suited up for five playoff games against the Wildcats last season and scored the winner in double overtime of Game 2. Foston started the season with the Mariners, recording a goal and an assist in eight games, before being traded Oct. 23 to Campbellton. He didn’t play any games with the Tigers.
Benedict said Foston is versatile and can play a variety of roles for the team because of his speed, ability to get in on the forecheck and create turnovers. Valley also made a decision regarding their 20-year-old log-jam. Centre Blake Deacon was not carded before the Dec. 1 deadline but remains Valley property. The Port Williams native went scoreless in three games this season after returning from a broken wrist sustained in the pre-season.First game
