Building fire in Nanaimo's Old City Quarter sustains extensive damage
Posted: Oct. 10, 2022 9:53PMNanaimo firefighters battled a fire in the Old City Quarter Monday nightA fire heavily damaged a building that Pioneer Fireplaces was using as a storage facility in Nanaimo’s Old City Quarter Sunday night.Cpt. Chad Porter says crews were met with heavy smoke when they arrived at the commercial building.
The building was formerly used by Sidney Tire but it’s been most recently used as a storage facility by Pioneer Fireplaces.
