Filipino tennis star Niño Alcantara , a tennis ambassador for Cebuana Lhuillier , is set to compete in several high-profile ATP Challenger tournaments across Asia this year. Alcantara's journey begins at the ATP Challenger 75 event in Bangkok, Thailand, from January 6 to 12. Unified Tennis Philippines president and Cebuana Lhuillier president and CEO, Jean Henri Lhuillier, expressed his excitement about Alcantara's campaign. 'It's thrilling to see Nino competing at such a high level.
His dedication and hard work have been exemplary, and I'm confident that all his preparations will bear fruit. We're fully behind him as he brings pride to Philippine tennis,' Lhuillier said. In the last three months of 2024, Alcantara won the doubles title at a regional ITF tournament in November and was runner-up at another ITF event in December. Alcantara's busy schedule includes another Challenger 75 tournament in Bangkok from January 13 to 19, followed by a series of ATP Challenger 100 events in Chennai, Bahrain, New Delhi, Pune, and Bengaluru in February. Riding on his current form and the support of Philippine tennis organizations, Alcantara is well-positioned to achieve significant milestones and inspire the next generation of Filipino athletes
