JobStreet by SEEK's latest Decoding Global Talent Report reveals that Filipino employees are seeking work arrangements that prioritize flexibility and work-life balance.

EMPLOYMENT flexibility and stability are top of mind among Filipinos in 2025, reflecting a preference for hybrid work setups and work-life balance, according to Jobstreet by SEEK's latest Decoding Global Talent Report. The study showed 67 percent of Filipino employees prioritize jobs that enable equal time spent at work and with family and friends, while work-from-home arrangements are key factors that influence job retention.

\'Filipino talents favor a conventional full-time, five-day work week and are more inclined to take on multiple full-time jobs rather than part-time roles,' the study noted. 'Ultimately, Filipino candidates seek companies that provide clear career growth opportunities, with the potential to rise into leadership positions.' \Other findings from the report:Employees value personalized upskilling initiatives, particularly in analytical, creative, and project management skills — with 40 percent willing to dedicate time weekly to learning new skills; and training methods such as online tutorials, workshops, and seminars are highly favored, presenting an opportunity for employers to foster talent development. \By investing in upskilling and reskilling initiatives that align with these preferences, employers can create a motivated, future-ready workforce, the report said.'The Filipino workforce's dedication to learning is a tremendous asset that drives innovation and long-term success,' Jobstreet by SEEK Philippines head of marketing Joey Yusingco said. 'Moreover, the commitment to growth and adaptability is essential for retaining talent and equipping individuals to adjust and thrive in an ever-changing work environment.'\The report also revealed that job satisfaction is directly tied to employee retention. Workers who feel fulfilled in their roles are 49 percent less likely to leave their jobs. While competitive pay remains important, factors like mental health support and positive societal impact are becoming non-negotiable. This underscores the growing importance of employment factors beyond compensation, the report said, adding that, to create inclusive workplaces, employers are encouraged to nurture a robust learning culture to ensure higher engagement and retention of employees
