The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned the public against the purchase and use of five
The FDA, in its advisory no. 2019-204, said the products do not have a Certificate of Product Registration.
The agency identified the “unnotified” products as Popa Smooth International with Vitamin E Powder Foundation with UVA & UVB Protection, Chroma Celloshine Treatment Choco Brown, Peiyen Lips Tint the Lure of Lip , Wow Long Lasting Lip Color , and Excek Paris Long Lasting 24 Hours.
The FDA has warned concerned establishments not to distribute the said products until they have been issued the appropriate authorization. “Moreover, the public is advised to always check if a cosmetic product is notified with the FDA. The FDA website has a Search feature which may be used by typing the name of the product before purchasing,” the agency said.
The FDA also encouraged the public to report any sale or distribution of unnotified cosmetic products through its online reporting facility which is accessible at www.fda.gov.ph/ereport.
