Parakkal had previously set a one-day bail hearing on Sinclair’s behalf for Tuesday, but told Keelaghan the defence is not prepared to proceed. Crown prosecutor Shane Parker said he is available to argue the issue of bail on June 15, but asked that Sinclair’s case be returned to Court of Justice on May 24, to join him up with his co-accused, Sonya Pasqua.Article content

The couple is charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of their toddler son, Gabriel Sinclair-Pasqua, on Oct. 5, 2021.Pasqua was granted bail shortly after her arrest when Parker and her lawyer, James McLeod, presented a joint submission that she post $2,500 cash and her father act as her surety.
