The turmoil in Iran over anti\u002DHijab demonstrations sees no end in sight.

Addressing Iranian girls and women, they said: “You remind us that true power comes not from clinging to the past, but from the effort to build a better future.”

The self-styled voice of Canada’s Muslim community, the website of the National Council of Canadian Muslims , had no mention of the current turmoil over the hijab in Iran. It was almost as if it was unaware of the massive march last week in Richmond Hill and Toronto by over 60,000 Iranian-Canadians and their allies.

The CCMW website said, “There has been a large international response on social media to Mahsa’s death, with some women filming themselves cutting their hair while others are taking off their hijabs in videos. Such demonstrations are representative of resistance against the Iranian regime’s oppression.”
