Eager Harry Styles fans attending his sold-out Perth concert have been warned not to camp outside the venue ahead of the show — or risk being moved on. 7NEWS
“For the wellbeing and safety of our patrons, camping for the Harry Styles Love On Tour Concert is strictly prohibited,” Stylers were warned.Camping at HBF Park has been banned ahead of Harry Styles’ concert on Monday.“No priority entry will be given to anyone camping outside the venue prior to event day, and fan-made early line systems will not be honoured.”
Some fans had revealed plans to camp outside the venue early so they could have first crack at scoring a coveted standing spot close to the British heartthrob. Some even suggested a wristband system should be in place to allow those who queued the longest to have priority when it came to positioning in the standing section.
The reaction to HBF’s decision was mixed, with many debating whether it was a smart call or one that destroys a tradition tied to live shows.“How sad that you’re taking away a time-honoured tradition of die-hard fans. Instead of being authoritarian line lords, you provide additional security to monitor the people are willing to spend days waiting to see their favourite artists,” one person said. However another backed the decision, claiming it was a “slay” moment from the venue operator.
Tickets to the pop star’s show sold out in a matter of minutes, with the handful of seats still available setting you back more than $500.
