Fadillah still waiting for PN to discuss MPs’ allocations FMTNews
Deputy prime minister Fadillah Yusof wants the opposition to submit an application in writing before talks on allocations for PN MPs can begin.
While he had met PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan recently regarding the matter, Fadillah said that was an unofficial meeting. “You have to remember that during government, a memorandum of understanding was signed and negotiations were held. It’s just like asking for one’s hand in marriage… how can we discuss it when there is no offer?” he quipped.
He had previously said Takiyuddin had been asked to submit the opposition’s proposal in writing on allocations for Perikatan Nasional MPs so the two sides could enter into negotiations.
