ISKANDAR PUTERI: A factory worker here has lost RM87,400.90 in an investment scam after joining a WhatsApp group in June last year.
Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Rahmat Ariffin said the victim, in his 40s, initially put RM63,400 in an"investment scheme".
He said the victim wanted to redeem his investment and profit on May 4 this year and was told by the suspect to pay RM24,000.90 in taxes first.
