Police have issued an Amber Alert for 22-month-old toddler Aria Jane Killiby, who has been missing from the NSW Northern Rivers region since Monday.
Officers went to a home on North Street, Grafton, to execute a court ordered Child Recovery Order about 8.15am on Monday due to "extreme concerns for welfare", the Amber Alert read.NSW Police Media The little girl was not at the home, and police have also been unable to locate her father, Leroy Killiby.
The toddler is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a fair complexion, blonde hair and brown eyes, while her father is described as being between 170 and 175 centimetres tall with brown hair and a brown beard.One side of Mr Killiby's head is shaved, and he has a tattoo of the words "Aria Jane" and a wasp on his head.Police believe the father and daughter could be in Queensland, and are travelling in a red Jeep Cherokee with Queensland number plates 131-XDG.
An Amber Alert is issued for missing children by law enforcement and is named after Amber Hagerman, a nine-year-old who was abducted and murdered in the US in 1996. It encourages an urgent broadcast of information about the missing child.
