PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states in the country until 9pm on Friday (March 3).
In a statement on Friday , it said affected areas in the Peninsular were Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Kedah , Penang, Perak , Kelantan , Pahang , Negri Sembilan and Melaka.
Meanwhile, in Sarawak, affected areas are Sibu , Mukah , Kapit , Bintulu, Miri and Limbang, while Sabah were Pedalaman and Labuan. "A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20 mm/hour that is expected to occur close or for more than an hour," it said.
