Environment and Climate Change Canada predicts a 30 per cent chance of rain or flurries starting overnight on Sunday that could continue into Monday. The agency predicts daytime temperatures will drop to -2 C on Friday, and Toronto will see temperatures hover around 4 C over the weekend and into the holiday.
During middle and late February, data from Environment and Climate Change Canada shows temperatures usually range from -1 C to -10 C. Toronto has consistently seen daily high temperatures above 5 C since Feb. 5.“It's quite abnormal to have a prolonged period of above freezing in the winter,” Fung said.
