Former tourism secretary Joseph Ace Durano has promised a different approach to the COVID-19 response in Cebu province as he challenges incumbent Governor Gwendolyn Garcia in the 2022 elections.
The former tourism secretary said he would not force people to wear personal air purifiers and would launch a massive information drive to curb vaccine hesitancy.
Durano said he would push for the reopening of the tourism industry to foreigners when he becomes governor. He said he would reach out to his former contacts when he was the secretary of the tourism department.
