Martin Raymond has been handed a one\u002Dyear suspended jail term to be served in the community for diverting funds from nearly 30 user accounts.

In its own statement, Loto-Québec said Raymond’s employment with the Crown corporation ended less than three months after he was hired in February 2020. “Thanks to its different system control mechanisms and on-site verifications, Loto-Québec quickly identified certain irregularities,” the corporation said. “The Sûreté du Québec was immediately contacted and the file transmitted to them.”
Loto-Québec said no clients were affected by Raymond’s actions and “the integrity of games were never in question.”
