Jeremy Clarkson posts an annual life status update on social media each A-level results day, revealing his own poor results years earlier and his success regardless brings with it a heady mix of emotions as it marks the end of a school journey the start of a new future for many.
Aside from the free advertising for his latest venture, its aim is to serve as a reminder to teenagers caught up in a spiral of doubt or despair over A-level results which didn’t go the way they expected that in the end those grades are never as important as they seemed at the time.
The villa was surpassed by a superyacht in the Med a year later as the newspaper columnist highlighted his own personal success in spite of his A-level results. A level results a bit rubbish? Don’t worry. I got a C and two Us and I’ve rented this place for the summer.
