The federal governmentwith Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island, cementing the spending plan Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced two weeks ago.
Details of the agreements in principle have so far only been released for three of the provinces. Ontario will receive $8.4-billion in new funding through a 10-year bilateral deal that is supposed to target priority areas in health care like primary care. PEI will receive $288-million in its bilateral deal, and Nova Scotia will receive $1.01-billion through its individual deal.Federal outsourcing is on pace to set another record this year – $21.
