Queensland Fire Service said the large, fast-moving fire is travelling near Timothy Road, Montrose, in multiple directions, and it will soon be too dangerous to leave.A place of refuge has been opened at the Tara Council Chambers offices. It is not an evacuation centre.Loading Twitter content Police have declared a Publish Safety Preservation Act for Chinchilla Tara Road, Terese Road, Weitzels Road and South Road, and are urging people to avoid the area.

Residents of Wolvie, near Gympie, have been told to prepare to leave as a fast-moving fire travels south between Wolvi Mountain Road and Sunshine Road.Posted
