Commuters may struggle to make their way to work this morning as strong winds and rain hit the GTA.

The commute back home will be chillier than in the morning, as the temperature is expected to fall to 0 C by the afternoon.

In the evening, wind gusts can reach 70 km/h, with a wind chill near -10 C. There’s also a 40 per cent chance of flurries. Environment Canada is also warning of even stronger winds near the water, with the agency saying gusts could reach up to 90 km/h near the eastern shores of the Great Lakes.The cold weather is expected to continue into tomorrow as well, with Thursday hitting a high of 3 C and a low of -2 C. Wind gusts will be slightly lighter than Wednesday, ranging from 30 to 50 km/h. It’ll feel like -8 C. There’s also a 30 per cent chance of flurries in the morning.
