PETALING JAYA: Dams in Sabah contain enough water to last through three months of a prolonged drought, the state’s deputy chief minister, Shahelmey Yahya, said today.
He said that the state water department would implement rationing and propose water conservation measures if drought conditions worsened, Bernama reported.“Should we reach a critical stage, we may introduce alternatives such as cloud seeding,” said Shahelmey, who is also state works minister.
