Enact laws to impeach prime minister, says Senate president FMTNews FMTEng
Senate president Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the UK’s then prime minister Tony Blair was impeached in 2004.
PETALING JAYA: Laws should be enacted to allow for the impeachment of prime ministers, Senate president Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said. Wan Junaidi, a former law minister, said countries like the UK had such laws and the likes of Tony Blair had been impeached in 2004.He said this at a forum titled “Political Stability in a Hung Parliament”.
