Mr Ryan described the low vacancy rate as “emergency levels” as the migration influx into Australia continues to rise. It’s still going to be really, really tough for renters out there,” Mr Ryan told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.“We’ve seen advertising rent growth above 10 per cent over the past 12 months; the bad news is there’s still very few available rentals, we’ve got rental vacancy rates of just above one per cent nationally.”
