The expectation is that electricity and gas prices will continue to rise over the next six months, which is consistent with Treasury’s forecast, according to Barrenjoey Chief Economist Jo Masters.
“The hope is beyond that, though, that we start to see some
easing of those pressures for households,” she told Sky News Australia.
