KUALA LUMPUR: Efforts to ensure the welfare of police personnel and officers, including reviewing their salaries, are continuous and not seasonal, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

The Home Minister said this was evident from the recent tabling of Budget 2023, where funds were allocated to maintain police quarters and accommodation."It is not just during an event such as Police Day – it is ongoing," he told reporters after attending the 216th Police Day celebration at the Police Training Centre here on Monday .

It is heartening that new assets could be acquired in such a manner without using the police budget, he said.
