The government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has found a villain: Facebook

Facebook called his bluff and said, in essence, fine, we’ll quit posting Canadian content. With vast areas of this country ablaze, Trudeau is now blaming Facebook for the alleged inability of residents to access local news. So, why is it “unbelievably essential,” as Trudeau claimed, for Facebook to cave in to their demands and post material that can be easily accessed directly from the CBC website or from news sites of private sector competitors? They’re all doing excellent work reporting on the wildfires.
